We've noticed that when everything is filed and finished, one of the most common questions we are asked is 'so now what?'
Maintenance and filings don't end after your formation, but the process of getting your new entity compliant and ready for business can be broken down into five simple steps:
Step 1:Choose the tax regime according to which your company will pay taxes, and determine who will conduct accounting and HR administration: internal service or external experts.Step 2:Protect your trademark and trade name. Apply for trademark registration and don't forget to buy a domain name as soon as possible.
Step 3:Find out which licenses you need to run your business. Remember that individual entrepreneurs may not carry out all types of activities subject to licensing. Be sure to consult with a professional who will help you determine exactly what you need.
Step 4:Keep track of your reporting to government agencies. Convene annual general meetings of participants /shareholders to approve financial results, as well as, if necessary, to resolve other issues within the competence of the highest management bodies of your company. Do not forget to register changes to the information about the legal entity, if any, were made by the decision of the participants /shareholders.
Step 5:If you plan to expand your business outside your city (other administrative-territorial unit), you need to put a new separate unit on tax accounting. If you do not do this, you may face heavy fines, so do not forget to file an application with the tax authorities.
